Questions first.
What is Monkay?
Monkay is a Solana community that writes its rules down first. You can read the rules, apply to join with a wallet signature, and learn how to spot the scams that follow every new coin. The $MONKAY token is planned on Solana; it does not exist yet.
How does Monkay work?
Connect a Solana wallet, fill in a short application (name, role, a few lines about you) and sign a message. The server checks the signature and lists your application on the public board. Nothing is reviewed in secret, nothing is ranked and nothing is paid out.
Does applying give me tokens or a spot?
No. There is no allocation, no whitelist and no reward attached to applying. If someone promises you one in our name, it is a scam.
Why do I sign a message?
The signature proves the application comes from the wallet it names. It is a message, not a transaction: it moves no funds and costs no fee. Always read the wallet prompt; if it ever asks you to approve a transaction, stop.
How do I buy $MONKAY?
$MONKAY has not launched. When it does, the contract address appears on this site and on the official X account, and the buy button opens its pump.fun page. Before that, any address shared as $MONKAY is fake.
Which network is Monkay on?
Solana mainnet. Wallets such as Phantom, Solflare and Backpack work for applying.
Is Monkay audited?
There is no smart contract to audit: the site runs no on-chain program and holds no funds. The site code is a normal web app; it has not been audited by a third party.
What happens to my data?
Your application is stored for up to 180 days and is public while it exists. You can withdraw it at any time with a signature, which deletes it. The site never asks for an email, a password or a phone number.
Still curious?
Read the rules next.
Most answers above come straight from the public rules. They are short, versioned and the same for everyone.
